I have a Mike speed booster and I lose ibis support when I get that extra stop of light etc. on my camera R7 when shooting handheld...

Great video, very informative. We have been thinking about upgrading our documentary package, currently shooting on a pair of Sony HDR fs100’s and a Sony a7lll, fully rigged out. Some debate as to whether the FS 100’s are true “cinema cameras” or just top tier, for their time, camcorders, they lack a few features common on most models today. They have still been a joy to shoot with, super 35mm sensor, interchangeable lens design and low noise low-light performance, if only 1080p.

i swapped the sled for the tilta power pass thru, was able to put a 6 inch cable on to save some things from hanging all over

i need to see the cable setup to run to the monitor.. i swear to fcking hell i've spent 500 bucks on cables every time i swap into a new setup

This was exactly what I was looking for. I've been a Nikon stills shooter since 1985, then got into videography in the 90's during the analogue era, deciding 2 years ago to get back into it with the ultimate objective of transitioning to cinema work within 4 years. With Nikon buying Red that timetable has leaped forward as i wait to see what kind of RED tech Nikon can add to the Z9. From this vantage point it appears Nikon-RED has created a bridge that is shorter than it would have been otherwise. Knowing that the initial investment was going to top $25-$30K is why I was looking at the 4 year ramp. I'd love to see how a cost breakdown on how it might look with the RED cinema tech being adopted into the 35mm full frame mirrorless environment. A $10K investment in a Z9 & lenses will let me make immediate money. Add in computer processing & add-on stuff...another $5K. That's half the capital it takes to go directly with the RED camera body.

I really like the komodo , its a pain to rig the a7SIII, wonder if i need the komodo X tho. The slow motion aspect does not really concern me , the built in V mount is something that I wouldnt use anyways since I alredy have a great battery plate with SDI. The locking RF is cool but I would use kippertie anyways which screws into the bottom of the body. Also the bright tangerine baseplate.. is that a dovetail plate receiver on the bottom or its their proprietary baseplate?

It looks like you are using only the graphics from Canva but no live links, correct? Also, in your video you added multiple pages from your canva doc but when I upload mine it only shows the first page. Am I supposed to download each page individually from Canva and upload them that way? TIA!
